Titus 3:5-6 – Paul writes about the “washing of regeneration,” which is “poured out on us” in reference to water baptism. “Washing” (loutron) generally refers to a ritual washing with water.
Heb. 10:22 – the author is also writing about water baptism in this verse. “Having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.” Our bodies are washed with pure water in water baptism.
Great. you just quoted ananias, paul, and the author of hebrews.

Now back to my original post. show me where John or Jesus says "water" baptizm.

You can't,

But I CAN show you where they both say water is only the forerunner to the Holy Ghost baptism.

1And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples,

2He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.
3And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism.
4Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.
5When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 6And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

Nope... that's not what you said... gotta re-read your post:
Quote:
Why are we still baptizing unto John's baptisim?

Please show me ( in the scriptures) different.
..... and I gave you scripture to show you why we believe what we do.

Now, like a typical protestant.. why don't you tell me why I'm wrong, and your personal interpretation of the scriptures (contrary to Christian history and tradition) is right.

It is only essential is you take the words that others have said...We give it the importance, otherwise it would mean nothing.

LOL. good one.

Not to say who is "right" and who is "wrong", just pointing out for all the " you must be baptized in water to be saved" christians, that Jesus NEVER baptized in water , but the holy ghost only and there was no water involved.

and I backed it up with scripture. So , back you can get back to your " baby sprinkles".... and I will get back to my " crazy tongue talkin"..... good day.

ps. I also do believe in water baptizm. ( as an outward sign), not for salvation.

Just for the record, where did Jesus say that baptism was just an outward sign?
