It matters not whether we are Jew or Gentile, Christ will accept all those who do his will and profess him as Savior.

These are they whom are the bride of Christ.

Either we are Christ's or we're not, there are no guests, only those whom have been invited and have accepted the invitation by doing the will of Christ and professing him as Savior.

Remember the man who tried to attend the wedding feast and he was turned away because he had no wedding garments ???

It doesnt seem like paul included himself in the bride, he was labouring towards her perfection and holiness.

He wants to present her to jesus as holy...he doesnt identify himself with the bride.

Speaking to Johns desciples:

15Jesus answered, "How can the guests of the bridegroom mourn while he is with them? The time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them; then they will fast.

34Jesus answered, "Can you make the guests of the bridegroom fast while he is with them? 35But the time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them; in those days they will fast."

7Let us rejoice and be glad
and give him glory!
For the wedding of the Lamb has come,
and his bride has made herself ready.

8Fine linen, bright and clean,
was given her to wear."

9Then the angel said to me, "Write: `Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!' "

We are guests now, not the bride yet. We have received invitations and many are accepting, but we have not been "made ready" yet. We have lots of repenting to do.

There will be no guests at the wedding feast, only those who have been invited and have accepted the invitation and have "R.S.V.P.'d in advance. We can't wait until the last minute to accept (turn from sin). No guests will be welcome in the end. The door will be surely shut.

BTW, I don't attend church either. I work 7 days a week, 11 to 12 hours a day. I'm at work now, it's very slow, the economy is all but shot.

Christ will be appearing soon, no doubt about that. We all need to "ready" ourselves by turning from all sin, by "denying ourselves of all ungodliness," "wherein we take up our cross and follow him".

I've been working on getting rid of all sin from my life so that hopefully Christ will accept me as part of his bride.

Wow, great post, great writing !!

The part in blue I totally agree with and have voiced that on this forum a few times. Our righteousness triggers Christ's return. This is a Biblically sound statement. You know your stuff.

I wouldn't change a thing with this post.
