We don't doubt the word of God, we may not trust every passage of every translation that has ever come along (you'd be naive to think that there exists no translation errors in any of the existant bibles), but by and large we have very few concerns with their accuracy. Our real concerns and distrust come in regards to man's interpretation of the scriptures. Without the help of divine revelation through living prophets and apostles man is prone to err and misinterpret scripture.

Consider Hebrews 1...God gives spiritual understanding through the indwelling Holy Spirit in all converted believers, and not through modern day prophets, apostles or popes. We haven't even discussed interpertation of certain scirptures. I just posted scripture which you disagree before we even got into the intepertation. Jesus Christ is the ultimate prophet, priest and king. There is no other.

The bible is also clear that ministering prophets and apostles are needed to help prevent us from being "carried about with every wind of doctrine" (Ephesians 4:11).

We believe in personal revelation as well as prophetic revelation. After all, how else could one become convinced that what the prophet says is true unless you ponder and pray about it and receive revelation that it is true?

but you fail to mention the requirements for posessing the spirit? do you believe there are requirements other than simple faith that aloows the spirit to confirm truth to us?

as far as the spirit dwelling with us do you believe in separate requirements?

How is this an arguement towards LDS theology? we blieve this to be true, except with a clause...

i can not recieve revelation for you, and you cannot recieve revelation for me. He gives revelation for peopel to those who are in service and spiritual stewardship over.

The Prophet has Spiritual Stewardship for the entire world. The Lord has always had prophets, in every dispensation since the Time of Adam until now.

This is clearly stated here that the Lord only reveals himself to his chosen Prophets
Amos 3:7

7 Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

Fish-Hunter, Clearly you lack knowlegd of LDS theology and have some suprisingly common misconseptions in regards to us.

Your attacks on our faith are really kind of pathetic excuses for someone trying so hard.

I suggest doing more research before attempting to tear down our religion, at least make it a little more challenging.
