This is just horrible in my opinion, and its so bad that does it allow women to have more than one husband? Hell no! That woman would be stoned in a heart beat!
That is where I have a problem, and that is why I believe that some Biblical things like this brings in man's bias, and imperfections.

You are talking as if women are forced into polygamy. Do you still have such a huge problem with it if they do it under their own free will?

Every Christian land on earth Polygamy is forbidden but Adultry is not a crime, this is very funny.

Where is Polygamy forbidden is the bible or even if it is didnt Jesus paid it, so what now just chill and have more wifes. when you can drink, gamble, have pre maritial sex, even allow Gay Rights & Gay Bishops whats the problem with Polygamy.

Plus why did Abraham had two wives, David had many Wives, Jacob have two Wives, Solomon have one thousand wives in the Bible. I dont know

I would have no problem with polygamy, but I despise one-sided polygamy, because it is double standard.

If a man can have as many wives he so choose, then a woman should be able to do the same, and have as many husbands as she choose.

If a woman can't have more than one husband, then why should a man have more than one wife. If you make one illegal, then the other should be illegal as well. If men and women are truly equal, then there should be no discrimination.

Either make both sides legal, or both sides illegal, but no half-half measure.

That's another reason why I despise patriarchal Abrahamic customs, because they are sexist society, hence a society full of bigots.

For the record, the Old Testament doesn't say anywhere that a man can't have more than one wife. And polygamy was a generally accepted practice among Jews until the 1000s, when Rabbeinu Gershon issued a decree against it. It was not because monogomy was Biblically mandated, but because it made Jews look bad in the eyes of our Christian neighbors.

Rabbeinu Gershon's ruling was not accepted by Jews living in Muslim countries until 1948 CE. Then, all Jews joined the same page.

I don't object to polygamy for what's it worth. I do object polygamy in practice, especially among the Abrahamic religions.

Polygamy should be banned and against the laws if women cannot have more than one husbands.
