Yes but not everyone thinks he's just a man.

Unfortunately, there are many preachers out there who say something is a sin that isn't mentioned in the Bible as a sin. The man was just stating his opinion.

According to many catholics in the last election,
it was a moral obligation to vote for Bush/Republican. The tracts said it CLEARLY without actually "saying" it, and the lay people leveled the rest of the pressure themselves. The implied inverse of "moral obligation" of course is "sin". There was NO openness to any other outlook. Not in the "conservative" sect of the RC church. (and anyone who spoke out differently, was at best "uncomfortably ignored".)

You could interpret Matthew 22:21 that way.

Seeing how there have been several Christian groups (e.g. the Amish, the Mennonites) who have made a point of interpreting the Biblical commands to "be separate" and "touch not the unclean thing" as a rationale for self-segregation from society at large and deliberate non-participation in any political process at all, I'd say the issue is just a bit murky.

I would say voting for Bush may have been a sin.
