The person and work of Christ according to the Bible (Jesus Christ, Earth)

I do my best to live according to all of Jesus teachings. I have to follow Jesus teachings, for as James said, my faith would be dead.

It is not up to me to that every other Christian follows Jesus teachings or not. I can tell them about not doing it, but I can't force them to do it. I can only hope that they listen to others' words and follow Jesus' teachings the way they are supposed to. Words just don't always work, but I hope I can be an example.

So does that mean that this thread goes against Jesus' teaching of "judge not lest ye be judged"?

I understand the apostolic sucession claim of "the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints". However, this particular Thread is intended to be discussed within the doctrine of Sola Scriptura. You are welcome to ask questions within the Thread and I will answer within the Thread too. I noticed that the Moderators reopened "The LDS Articles of Faith". Could you please explain what you mean that your faith would be dead, if you did not follow Jesus’ teaching? I believe Jesus said to love the Lord your God with all of your heart, all of your soul, all of your might and strength; and to love your neighbor as yourself.

Jesus’ teaching shows that nobody is able to love the Lord your God…all of the time. I believe the Bible teaches that Christians are sinners in process. Converted Christians have indwelling sin in them. Therefore, could you please explain your answer about faith being dead when we don’t obey a teaching of Christ? - BT

Nope, telling people that they are doing something wrong is not a judgement at all, that is a misconception. Telling someone that they are going to "hell" for doing something wrong is a judgement as I understand it.

Yes. It is like this: If you believe in Jesus, but you do not love God, then your faith would be dead. If you believe in Jesus, but you do not love your neighbor then your faith would be dead. Those are Jesus' greatest commandments. It goes on from there.

1. Mark 12:30 (Whole Chapter)
   Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.' [ Deut. 6:4,5]
2. Luke 10:27 (Whole Chapter)

Thanks again for sharing your faith in Christ. As you can see the verses above, God commands us to love the Lord, and love your neighbor.....ALL THE TIME. Since we are all sinners, nobody loves the Lord, and love your neighbor...ALL THE TIME. Could you please share how you reconcile this commandment of perfection to your faith in Christ? - BT
