Hi again! :-)
>What is the New Covenant? In the Bahai' view, the New Covenant is the Baha'i scriptures generally, and specifically the Baha'i Covenant in particular, which was revealed in our scriptural book the Kitab-i-Ahd ("Book of the Covenant")! (And there are by now, of course, MANY older covenants, including the one Christians still call the New Testament/New Covenant.) IOV God sends a Divine Messenger every 500-1,000 years to renew religion and bring updated social teachings for the current Age, founding a new religion in the process. Each of these religions is annother stage in a single evolving faith, the Faith of God! And there will never be an end to God's Bounty and God's Revelations to humanity.... Best, :-) Bruce |

... what became an increasingly vitriolic Anti-Judaic replacement theology which, in turn, served as the foundation of Western antisemitism.

People keep explaining it's something this person is bound to, or done by so-and-so, but what is it? (I know, but I'd like to see others interpretation of it) |

Covenants? Oddly, my view of god is that of a being that is not prone to making deals nor does he play dice. You are welcome to enter into any agreements you wish however, it just won't change a dang thing. Show me God's signature on the contract and I might change my tune, otherwise such agreements are totally manmade and therefore irrelevant.

Though it is the rare theist indeed who would do so, much of the talk of "covenant" makes more sense if one familiarizes oneself with the early covenant language prevalent throughout the levant. In many ways, the Torah reflects but one example among many.

What is the new covenant? Why, the one that comes after the old covenant, of course! Quote:
