I think all you Christians are confusing him.
![]() Secondboy, there is only one Bible. It has been translated into many different languages and at least one King has altered it`s original contents in a version he had translated (King James version). It`s original contents have been further altered by changes in different Christian denominations beliefs/dogma. I have 5 different version of the Bible here and none of them has exactly the same words but they all seem to state essentially the same message with a few important differences. All Christian denominations follow one of these versions of the Bible but many of them also have their own texts which are very important to their beliefs. Kind of like the way there is the Koran and then there are the hadiths and writtten history of islam. Only one is from god but the others are important because they come from a prophet or record the history of the denomination. Catholics use the Bible, AND the writings of early church fathers AND the Catholic catechism. The Bible holds a place of superiority among all these writings for most Christian sects. Mormons use the King James Bible AND The Book of Mormon on an equal intellectual basis because they believe both are equally the word of god.

Further to my last post, you can see the differences between the canons in the table produced here:
http://www.geocities.com/trvalentine...x/otbooks.html Scroll down and you can't miss it. Further to this I would note that the table shows the Ethiopian narrow canon. To the best of my knowledge the narrow and broad canons are identical with respect to the OT but not the NT. Here the Ethiopian narrow canon agrees with the rest of us and uses the same 27 NT books whereas the broad canon adds a further 8. James
