Very good observation. In this case it would be talking about things that may not be necessarily a sin to you and I, but it would to that person. Like goverment rule or personal rule that is broken. It's only sinful for him.

This doesn't really seam to say anything about aquiting us from unknow sin's, but rather to warn us of the sin of not taking the opportunites we're given to do good
