Assume that you had never heard of the Bible ...

Were I to walk up to any of you and suggest that drowning the world's children was acceptable, or that slaughtering the children of a people was valid, or that killing the first born of an empire was justified, what would you think?

And if I told you that life deserved nothing other that the fact that it's victims deserved what they got, what would you think?

And, if I were to tell you that I hold these views based on a primitive text, but "am not even sure that it has been translated accurately", what would you think?

The danger of this theology is not that it flies in the face of science, but that it enables the sweeping and brutal dismissal of humanity on the basis of virtually nothing. And the mindset that accepts this dismissal is in principle no different than that which burns witches, coerces conversions, bombs abortion clinics, and perpetrates Islamic terror.

I think it's wrong.

I think humanity as a whole should work on our problems, rather than leaving it up to a supernatural being.

I'm sorry, I have just never understood the OMG there's a problem let's pray! mentality, I have believed in the OMG there's a problem, let's look at it, analyze it, and solve it.

When i have a bacterial colony that has not taken my vector plasmid, i annihilate it.

Humans didn't turn out how God wanted the first time so he started again - God just acted how any good scientist would when faced with a failed experiment Deut

So then, Christianity is the greatest threat to humanity? I think it would be better to accentuate the positive in relation to God, the Bible and Christianity, but what is your solution Deut.?

"But none of the Christians I know would do these things! And besides, I don't see the big deal, Christianity is all about "Good", not "Evil" Hey, if there's a problem that needs to be solved, you have to get to the root of it...not just sit and stare at the surface.

Fair enough. Let me rephrase. Do you beleive that those who believe in something without proof (subjective, since my proof and yours are polar opposites) for its existense, are a danger to society?
