Default Bahá'í clock

I've been very interested in the bahá'í calendar, i've been reading about it and trying to understand it. I never liked the western calendar that much, I thought it was confusing to have somtimes 29 and sometimes 31 days.

Anyway. So I started thinking, since the day starts at 18:00, how will the bahá'í clock be. Will it stay the same or does the clock start at sunset with 00:00 and 06:00 at midnight? Or will there be an entierly new clock with maybe 19 hours a day? Has there been anything written about this?

Steinninn..

Very good question!

"... since the day starts at 18:00, how will the bahá'í clock be. Will it stay the same or does the clock start at sunset with 00:00 and 06:00 at midnight? Or will there be an entierly new clock with maybe 19 hours a day? Has there been anything written about this?"

I don't think I've heard that one lately.. Nope I draw a blank on this one.. Maybe somebody else knows..

It will probably be some time before the House of Justice deliberates on this if then..

Personal understanding is that they have only modified the year of the same 365 days into 19 months X 19 days + 4/5 days.
There is no change in the clock from 24 hours to 19 hours, 19 mins, 19 secs or any such thing.

If you wish to download a free Bahai Calendar check this page for the same.
