it is going worse for Baha'is in Iran, isn't it? i can't listen to the link you give. but once in awhile i read news about Bahais of Iran. it does not look good. seems like Ahmedi Nejad is going to be a dictator if he isn't already -of course.

Thanks for your post! Sorry you couldn't hear the link it was back in June and a few months ago.. The good thing is we can know almost immediately about these issues.. so the fact the world is listening to what's going on is a good thiing.. But Baha'is are optimistic and we are nonpolitical.. We will obey a duly constituted government and oppose say the temptation to we encourgae acts of violence or political manuevers.. So in the long range we are optimists for cahnge and civil and hiuman rights.. When the world sees the news of repression and denial of rights it will we believe eventually help turn things around.. God's blessings baraka! to you and your's - Art

thank you too
we should never let hope disappear. lately i've heard some news papers shut down, one by government and the other stopped pressing on its own. is this related to Bahais in some ways? .

Yes there was a popular newspaper that was shut down because it had a photo of the "Lotus Temple" the Baha'i House of Worship in India.. but it was temporary and resumed publication:
Report: Iran lifts ban on popular newspaper (AP) – 5 days ago TEHRAN, Iran — An Iranian news agency reports that the judiciary has after just a day lifted its ban on a popular newspaper which ran a photo of a Baha'i temple. The spokesman for Tehran's justice department, Zahed Bashirirad, said the ban on the daily Hamshahri had been lifted, the semiofficial ISNA agency said Tuesday. The paper did not appear on the stands Tuesday after a press supervisory board ordered a ban of the paper the day before because it ran an advertisement containing a photo of a Baha'i temple in India encouraging visitors. Since 1979, the government has banned the Baha'i religion, founded in the 1860s by Baha'u'llah, a Persian nobleman considered a prophet by the Baha'is. Islam considers Muhammad as the last of the prophets. Source: The Associated Press: Report: Iran lifts ban on popular newspaper
