These
quotes are from the Bagavad Gita. There should be no confusion, the Gita is one of the books Bahaullah instructed to read. The Gita is the bible of Hinduism, donot be confused with all the sects of far east, the Gita, and a few other books are all you have to read. Actually, the Gita is simullar to Hidden Words. go ahead and read the Gita. You read the Bible didn't you?... same thing. Gita is holy book of Hindu, in case you didn't know. |

The Bhagawad Gita is the narration made by Shri Krishna to Arjun before the War of Kurukshetra. Before the war, Arjun hasdoubts about fighting, questioning his own morality. Since he would be fighting and killing his own kin. Krishna explains that he cannot kill anything, because a soul is indestructible. The soul simply occupies the body. He raises any doubts that Arjun had. He then pulled back the string on his mighty bow, the Gandiv. The twang was heard far back in the ranks of the Kaurav Army. It was his signal, to say he was ready to fight.
Shri Krishna tells Arjun, that above all, your dharma (what is right) is the most important thing. Who may be your family in one life, may be your enemy in your next. The Gita is believed to be one of the worlds most beautiful scriptures, and is a guide to living a perfect life, to attain enlightenment. It sounds like i copied and pasted it, but i didn't ![]()

I have never read it. I just know the story and essential message
"Fixed in yoga, do thy work, O Winner of wealth (Arjuna), abandoning attachment, with an even mind in success and failure, for evenness of mind is called yoga"(2.48) "When a man dwells in his mind on the object of sense, attachment to them is produced. From attachment springs desire and from desire comes anger."(2.62) From anger arises bewilderment, from bewilderment loss of memory; and from loss of memory, the destruction of intelligence and from the destruction of intelligence he perishes"(2.63)
