Very true Arthra, the Central figures certainly know the fate of our religion better than anyone else so there has to be a substantial amount of wisdom behind the things they've said about homosexuality, however controversial and censuring they may be. I'm glad I can find solace in this fact; I guess I was mulling over it for too long. Besides, why would Baha'u'llah bring such a glorious religion to humanity with that large of a flaw? There's definitely a reason that we're just not yet cognizant of (I don't know why I'm saying this when you all know it, maybe it's for reassurance :P). It appears as a flaw now, but I hope its reasoning will be fully justified in the near future, or I can already envision the turbulent times which the Faith is to go through, just on that one frontier. :|

And indeed Popeye, it can be a lifelong test of faith. I 've heard one of our old LSA members, about 20 years ago, became gay (or maybe bisexual? as he had a wife at the time) and gave up the Faith. Yet I don't know how someone can do that when it offers what humanity is looking for and the blueprints for a new world order, which humanity really needs right about now.

Bruce, I'm not sure whether or not you read my parenthetical statements interspersed in those answers I gave, haha! But I doubt it matters anymore; I'm so prone to unconsciously setting up straw men and knocking them down that I've almost forgotten how to debate. :P

Regardless, I can safely say that I'm reassured of the wisdom in what the Figures have said. Thanks very much again everyone, good to know there's a place I can go to for confirmation.

Hi Adib..

I don't see it as a flaw of the "Glorious Religion" though... and I guess we'll have to leave it at that.

All of us have limitations and temptations and weaknesses and we're all growing toward perfection over the infinity of time...through God's Mercy we'll all arive and stand before Him.

No no, I didn't mean it like that, I meant that's how a lot of homosexuals view it. That's not a reflection of my own belief; sorry to have sounded confusing.

You're most certainly right. Thanks.
