I do not know what people understand by the word religion.
But I have felt that religion is just a set of desciplines in life which one must follow to lead a righteous life, a rightful life.
I am not worried about a good life or a bad life. All that matters is right and wrong. I do not agree with people who say that religion is connected with God and spiritualism and ceremonies and rituals and faith. no! because if it was so, then the entire world would follow only one proven religion without disputes. There wouldn't be so many differences. It only means that we misunderstood the word religion. If there is only one god in the world, He would not create multiple religions for different races of people to follow. There are so many differences in religious ideas and ideals in the world because religion was not created by God Himself. It was created by man. We were taught to have blind faith in our forefathers and their ideas and in the ideas of our teachers. It is we who are fools who believe in theories which we ourselves have not tested, but we just tend to believe what we hear. A child would do that, not a mature person. But how do we explain this to the grown-up people or to the strong believers of the multiple religions of the world? Yes! Many people say that all religions lead to the same God, but why so many roads leading to one God? It is because the roads, in other words, religions, were not created by God. Religion was made by man. Some religions are wise, some are not, because some men are wise and some are not. If religion can be used to create wars between BROTHERS, how can any logical and reasonable person declare that particular set of disciplines as a religion? No that is not religion. That is only violence, selfishness! I am not trying to mention any particular kind of religion, but we know what religion did...... to whom; and why all the reasons point to one particular inference, - It says that religion was not made by God. And if it was not made by God, why believe in religion? Now, some people would definitely say that the author of this text is an Atheist. No! Atheist means a person who does not believe in GOD. Atheist is not a person who does not believe in religion. If religion is finally proved to be only a set of disciplines to lead a rightful life, why aren't all the religious people in the world righteous? How can they support something that is wrong? Violence is wrong! yet some religions declare violence as rightful! Unacceptable! However, it is hardly a concern of the growing civilization of the world to decide which religion is good and which religion is bad. Finally we know that religion is a very very very powerful tool that influences the majority of the world's population, and there are certain people who profess to be teachers and they are the ones who mislead the greater majority of people and make them create conflicts between each other. This bloody misuse must be stopped. Religious leaders must throw away all their old ideas and try to open their minds to realize what I am trying to say. I am no teacher. But I feel in my heart what is right and what is wrong. Not only me, but we all realize what is right and what is wrong. It is just an inexplicable feeling from the heart. It says out aloud that you must open your mind to know what is religion. There is only one religion in the world, and it says "do what ir right and do not do what is wrong." If we can do that we can call ourselves religious. We cannot call ourselves religious if we pray to God from morning to night and perform all rituals and ceremonies written in our so called religious books. Even the book was not written by God. And blind faith in its author just shows that we do not know how to use our own faculties to realize the truth. However, I cannot give you hope because I am just one man who perhaps thinks this way. Unless the majority starts thinking that religion is not to be misused, religion shall be misused and exploited by cunning people who don't only have two faces, but have multiple faces to suit multiple situations to exploit for their own purposes. We all must be careful of these chameleons. We must start thinking independently without trying to learn from somebody as learning from another is tantamount to being spoon-fed. We are not babies! We are grown up mature people. We have been blessed with brains and heart to think and to feel. Unless we can make use of these powers given directly by God, we can never be religious. let truth and enlightenment come down to everyone's hearts. As a scientist I say this because the logic of science proves that there is a God.
