I don't bird watch per se, but we have a bird bath in the garden, and I love it when birds come to drink. We also hang peanut & fat 'packs' in winter.
I love the little robin re-breasts; one came right up to the kitchen window this morning.

I birdwatched for a year, about 3 years ago, learned just about all the birds I could find around here, then I stopped since I knew all the birds and it got kind of boring, since the most fun of it is to find birds you don't know yet and then try to ID them. I am very amused by the fact that one of the most common birdies we see around here is called a great tit in english. "Oh look there, a couple of great tits!!!"

I love bird watching.
![]() I have almost 100 species so far on my list of wild bird sightings. One thing I loved about going to New Mexico over the last summer was being able to see so many "all new" species. I got ten new bird sightings in just a few days. ![]() wa:do

I enjoy bird watching too. We have a huge wetlands sanctuary 4 miles away from our house and there are bald eagles, purple martins, egrets, herons and too many more species to name. We finally bought a decent pair of binoculars and have been getting good use out of them lately. Lots of action going on with springtime being here!
Last night we bought more suet, thistle and bird seed to keep enticing the critters into our yard. And we have various nesting boxes placed here and there. Of course most of you know that I have 10 birds. So yes, we certainly enjoy birds around here. |

I think bird-watching is kind of boring. I always dreaded it when my parents would drag us out to Miller Island to look for owls. It's not that I don't like birds. In fact, I'm a big fan. But they rarely do anything at all interesting.
