What was meant as a derogatory name...
has become a badge of honor. This was ascribed to the church of Christ in the 1700 and 1800s. For the most part the ministries that bear this mark have one thing in common:
a desire to move BACK to the scriptures as our ultimate authority for all things to do with worship and the church. True fundamentalists, these pioneers were not enamored with creating a new religion as much as restoring the first century church in both form and function.
