From reading a comment by Kyabje Namkai Norbu in his "Crystal and the Way of Light", an introduction to Dzogschen, the answer would have to be Yes. For in that book, Namkai Norbu says that this world is one of thirteen star systems where Dzogschen is currently being taught.

What about the group that "claimed" to have created the first clone human some years back? I think they believe Elohim represents an alien race and that the "prophets" have been people the aliens have visited to share their message of peace for Earth.
I encountered some when I was a missionary in Japan. |

Don't forget the Raelians... they got some international press a few years ago for claming to have cloned humans... they never produced any evidence that the child (or any of the four supposed 'clones') was anything but 'natural' and thier clames are widly regarded as hoaxes.

This would not necessarily mean that Dzogchen was alien-based, though, would it? In the Lotus Sutra there are mention of thousands and thousands of different worlds, each with their own Buddha teaching the Dharma. Does this make the Buddha who taught us in this world an alien? I can't quite parse the logic here. Can you please clarify?

I thought Sciento(il)logical beliefs were based on non earth beings? I believe in extra-terrestrials, the OT Apocrypha's almost make the bible seem Alien based.
