While I understand your meaning when you say this, I think it's more closer to the truth to say that we simply have forgotten that:
1) hell doesn't exist
2) we never went anywhere else outside of "heaven"

Just to clarify...
People CREATE hells in (from out of) their own minds.
Hell is a state of being. Not a place.
However if enough people are engaging in hellish states of existence
it effects the whole "outer" world reality.
The minds of men REALize their own realities.

You get politics, war, polution, corruption, degredation,
poverty--- all on a MASS scale.

ie- hell on earth-- formed out of the minds/beliefs of men.

Heaven can only be "found" again,
one individual at a time
by seeing through all the smog, smoke, and mirrors.

Yes, unless you believe in Jesus Christ, you're going to hell. No sense in beating around the bush and sugar-coating stuff. If Jesus didn't sugar-coat the truth, then I have an obligation not to either.

This argument only works if you ignore the unknown and focus only on what is known. Existentialism doesn't concern itself with questions that should be given concern. Where did life come from? What happens to life after death? Is there more than what we know?

If you never think about those questions, perhaps your ideas work.

If Ghandi didn't believe in Christ, then, yes, sadly, I believe he's going to hell.

The Bible says our righteousness is as filthy rags. Even Ghandhi's righteousness, as extraordinary as it was, is filthy rags. "All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God".....that "all" means everybody. No exceptions. We don't get into heaven by our good works. We only get into heaven through the saving grace of Jesus Christ, because only His righteousness (which is true righteousness, and light-years apart from our patheic attempts at goodness), imputed to us through faith, can allow us to enter into God's presence.

I simply believe what Scripture says. Simple as that.

There is not a soul alive who can answer these questions.
(though there are many who would like to THINK they can).

Pontification, reflection, meditation on these questions
can be fun, enlightning and personally edifying...
but the truth is,
No one knows what happens when the chapters of this Life's book come to an end.
I personally am expecting a WONDERFUL continuation of my story,
my loves, my symbolisms, my majiks, my dreams, my creative & unique personhood
but right now I'm HERE in this one,
this story, this body, this world, this particular REALity,
and I want to be as dynamic a "character" as possible right NOW,
in the eternal NOW... because NOW is the only time/place my story
will ever be ALIVE.

What else do I ever really KNOW but the NOW moment anyway?

(and who wants to "sequel" a crappy/uninteresting first run anyway? )
