I was praying last night in bed, for my wife. Not that there is anything wrong, just prayed for her to feel God's love and peace and for protection and things. As soon as I finished, and this was silent prayer and I was very still, she stirred and reached for me to put my arm around her--which she doesn't normally like in the middle of the night when she is trying to sleep, as it makes her to hot. She then pulled me even closer and wanted a long hug, then wanted my arm around her for quite a long time. It was almost as if she felt the love and care and prayer and the Spirit actually calm her. I was quite surprised, it was very unusual. But the prayer was in line with God's will so it was answered. I have been praying for others and am trying to do more so. Not that I don't pray for myself, I need it. Lot's of things the Spirit is working on in me. But to pray for others more than for oneself, I think is very much God's will. Sometimes someone will pop into my head and I just pray God will meet them at their need. But I am going to continue to be more specific and keep some track of my prayers and the answers, as I do so, checking myself to be sure they are in line with God's will and the furtherance of his kindgom.

Why are prayers sometimes not answered? (
1 2 3 ... Last Page) Saint Tigeress 12-28-2007 05:33 AM by Mr. Peanut 64 666 Abrahamic ReligionsLook at the number of times viewed..... ![]() I just thought I'd copy and paste that for the record (it didn't want to cooperate go figure) i can't believe I happened to look at it at that moment when it had been viewed that many times. And esp. on this thread! lol! What a silly number...
