Want interview advice

My college has had me applied to this club called Student Ambassadors. They want to interview me this Thursday to see if they want me in the club or not. Any advice for the interview?

It's a club for folk with a gpa of at least 3.0. They do things like represent the college at school presentations, develop college activities, conduct tours of the college, and help folk register to college.

I am not sure what the focus is. Is it having a outgoing personality, knowing about the college itself or what? I have had job interviews, but not for college, not even for my Master's program. Hmm.

Well student ambassadors from my understanding basically are the bridge between the students and the college itself. They help the college understand the needs of the students and provide services and activities that meet the needs of both the college and the students. They plan events for example.

I'd be more useful for coaching you on how to sneak out of those events you'dbe planning when they insist on corraling everyone in and making them stay put.

Just be yourself, and assume that you don't want to be in any club that wouldn't want you in it.

The interview mustve gone poorly. I got a letter in the mail they have rejected me from the club. I however will be asking my advisor if theres any more clubs i can join and if so how do i apply?

I think the reason the student ambassadors rejected me is because I said i wouldnt try to convince anyone to join the college unless i was sure it was right for them. One the goals of the club is to get as many folk to join the college as possible
